Always be prepared.
I’ve got to be honest, I wasn’t a boy scout…I was a Tiger Cub. That’s kind of “Junior Boy Scouts”. However, the “always be prepared” thing really stuck with me. It’s why I bring absurd amounts of equipment that I don’t need to weddings. At least once a wedding day my second shooter will look at me with a twinge of pain in their eye and say “What in the world do you have in this bag?”
A LOT
While I don’t do it all the time, I try to keep some GoPro cameras charged and in one of my overloaded camera bags for situations like this.
Matt & Shelby didn’t have a videographer and one of the best DJ’s in the wedding business today (Clear Pro DJ) wanted to break out a new toy. With a little heads up, I threw 3 cameras up and let them run.
We were there for photography and didn’t get to put a lot of extra effort into this, but I’m SOOOOOOOO glad we were able to get it for them.
Trust me, you’ll want to see want happens a few seconds in.
