Venue Hop!!!

It only comes around twice a year and seats are always limited…and there’s always a great group of couples to meet. Yesterday was that day for us.

If you’re not familiar with it. Venue Hop is an event held by Simply Love Studio where brides, grooms, family, and friends are chauffeured around Lexington to the most stunning wedding venues. At each venue there are tours, food (lots of food), and various wedding vendors set up for introductions.

Our booth was setup at 21C Museum & Hotel. It was my first time there and I can’t wait to shoot a wedding there. Luckily I had left my Fuji X100s in my laptop bag, so I could snap a few shots of some of the setups.

As usual Doug Smith Designs & Events killed it with their table setup and flowers!

After some quick introductions, we got to mingle with the couples in between tours of the facilities. A lot of 2018 couples getting meetings setup to avoid missing out on their favorite vendors.

The other highlight of the day had to be when we stopped back by Simply Love to drop off our albums. We got to have s’mores! 

A surprise s’more is just a little bit of heaven.

That’s the trick to wedding events…after the couples have passed through for the day, we get to finish off all the leftovers. I may have went a little overboard with s’mores and Tinker’s cake samples.
