From the start, it was clear they cared far more about being comfortable and present with the people they love than checking boxes or chasing tradition. Their home in Nicholasville gave the day a natural calm, the kind that makes nerves fade without anyone trying too hard. At one point Seth even snuck in a nap while Amanda was getting ready, which honestly tells you everything you need to know.
Their first look was one of those quiet, unifying moments that resets the whole day. No rush. No spectacle. Just the two of them grounding each other before everything unfolded.
Seth’s stonework is woven all through the story. The patio and retaining wall during the ceremony, the bridge he hand-built showing up again during portraits. There’s something deeply fitting about being married in a place shaped by your own hands, surrounded by family and friends, with the wind doing its best to make us work for every frame.
And yes, the wind was relentless. We fought it all day. But it somehow fit. A little imperfect, a little wild, and very real.
These are some of my favorite moments from a day that never tried to be anything other than what it was. And that’s exactly why it worked.
