I knew Shelby and Matt were special from the minute we got started on their engagement session. They were fun in the face of fading sun and possible rain. It was a big deal that we got their engagement session in while they were in town…one of the only times they would be in. So when the weather wasn’t going to cooperate and we started late it would be easy to be stressed.
They weren’t.
And that is why I wasn’t worried about their wedding day…you know, because they were fabulous!
That’s not to say their wedding day was without some heavy lifting. Tight timeline, hot, and some on/off showers kept us on our toes.
The ladies were getting ready at The Doubletree by Hilton. A gorgeous room with HUGE windows for lighting, a spread of sweets and drinks, a patio, and a big bouncy bed to jump on. Well…I didn’t jump on it myself, but we all have regrets. ?
The patio came in handy as well to pop some bottles!
“Can you do a ‘Boomerang’ of this?” Yes!
After getting ready we caught up with the guys at The Signature Club, where we would be for the rest of the day.
The Signature Club is a great facility for events. Sizable dance floor, a few options to layout tables, and a stunning balcony that gets perfect light in the evening. That balcony is exactly where Matt and Shelby’s ceremony would be.
Afterwards we shifted the schedule around a little on the fly…sometimes that’s just what you have to do. There was a slight surprise the happy couple was going to break out, but dry ice instant fog takes a little more prep time than you would think. So we snuck out for a few more portraits before the first dance. However, when that first dance happened it was magical.
It was magical at one point I vanished underneath a cloud and could no longer see anything beyond a sea of white. I popped up and there they were, dancing slowly in front of us all.
An absolutely beautiful night that you can relive below and inside of the first issue of Bridal Bliss Magazine.
